A 10.00-carat Brazilian amethyst cut in Marco Voltolini's Tribal design. The color is the draw here — a deep, heavily saturated purple that reads warm rather than cool or blue-leaning but there are some blue flashes in cooler light temperatures. The Tribal cut sends a radiating starburst out from the center, and at 14.4 mm across the stone has real presence face-up. Untreated.
