A 11.30ct natural blue topaz from Araçuaí, Brazil — untreated, with its soft ice-blue color entirely natural. This is notable; the vast majority of blue topaz on the market is colorless material that has been irradiated and heat treated to produce its color. This stone's pale, clean blue is exactly as it came from the ground. Faceted in a Piatt's Oval cut, a design by Arya Akhavan, the elongated cushion outline and complex facet arrangement draw light across the crown in a way that gives the stone real depth and movement.
